Some journeys in life shape us in ways we never expected. For me, that journey began in the final years of my Granny’s life. Katie Loula Faulk—Granny to us—was more than just a beloved matriarch; she was the embodiment of strength, faith, and unconditional love.
My family and I had the privilege of being by her side in her last few years, ensuring she was cared for with the same tenderness and devotion she had given to our family for decades. Those moments of caregiving—filled with laughter, tough conversations, and a deep sense of duty—sparked something in me. It was more than just a responsibility; it became a calling.

Through that experience, I realized that quality home health care isn’t just about medical needs—it’s about honoring the dignity of those who have given so much to the world. It’s about making sure they are safe, comfortable, and surrounded by love. That realization led to the creation of Faulk Health Partners, LLC, a company founded on the same values that Granny instilled in our family.
Granny’s wisdom continues to guide me every day. She taught us that life is the greatest teacher, that faith is unwavering, and that love should be given freely and without reservation. These lessons not only shaped the mission of the Loula Foundation, which my sister and I co-founded in her memory, but they also form the heart of Faulk Health Partners.
As we embark on this journey to provide compassionate, high-quality home health care, I carry Granny’s words with me: “God puts you in the valleys so you can see the mountaintops.” She believed in perseverance, in giving more than you receive, and in never giving up on family. And now, her legacy lives on—not just in our hearts, but in the care we provide to every family we serve.
